Museum shop

Continue the story at home

Take a little piece of our history home with you. In the museum shop, you will find items for practical use and decoration. From bowls and sweets to shawls and knitting patterns.

1.

Step into the world of Ole Lund Kierkegaard

Ole Lund Kierkegaard created a fantastic, whimsical and fascinating universe of lovable and unlovable characters. So once you have visited Frøsnapperbyen here at the museum, you can explore the universe further with our selection of books, magnets, T-shirts and, of course, Otto the Rhinoceros as a cuddly toy.

2.

Unique items made at the Open Air Museum

Cushions, bags and yarn from the museum's sheep. These are just some of the items created by the museum's handicraft guild. In the shop, you can buy their creations to take home to your kitchen, sofa or your next knitting project.

3.

Knitting and style through history

Find your knitting needles when you get home. You can buy yarn that comes from our sheep and has been carded and spun here at the museum, as well as two knitting patterns for our popular shawls. They are the same design that our hosts and volunteers wear. Oh yes, there are also lovely woollen socks and knitted cloths that you can buy to take home with you.

4.

Play with the history

On the shelves, you will find a selection of toys through the ages. From hopscotch and chicken rings to jigsaw puzzles and dress-up dolls. Explore the shop and see how you can continue playing with history when you get home.
