Accessibility
Wheelchair access
The roads at the Open Air Museum are gravel but stable. The terrain is hilly, so it can be difficult for wheelchair users, but it can be done. However, it is difficult to enter courtyards and museum buildings with a wheelchair. Three museum buildings have partial wheelchair access: Kniplehus from Nr. Sejerslev (no. 33), farm from Ostenfeld (no. 4) and Haubarg from Ejdersted (no. 31).
You can borrow a wheelchair for free. Book the wheelchair in advance by calling 41 20 64 55 during museum opening hours or contact us at [email protected].
There is disabled parking at both entrances.
AutusimGoTo
AutismGoTo has developed a presentation of the Open Air Museum for people with autism and everyone in their network.
Trolleys
You can rent a trolley for DKK 30. We have a limited number available at the museum entrances.
You are welcome to bring your own trolley.
Annual pass holders get a 20% discount on trolley rental.
Strollers and changing tables
Strollers are welcome at the museum. However, please do not bring them into the museum buildings or gardens as the paths are very narrow. Changing tables can be found in restrooms around the museum. Ask in the shop.
