Say hello to the horse and pet the rabbit. Among the farms, houses and mills at the museum, you can follow the animals’ lives through the seasons.
Meet the animals at the museum throughout the year. Sometimes you can pet our small, cute and cuddly “hosts”, and other times you can help our keepers feed the animals.
Join the keepers
Join the animal keeper as the goats and pigs are fed
Every day our animal keepers look after the pigs, sheep and cows – and you can join in! Come and hear what everyday life is like for the museum’s animals. The program is never the same, but both the animals and the keepers are excited to tell you about daily life at the museum.

Get close to the rabbits
Meet the small cuddly furballs
Pet the lovely rabbits in the little pen by the bakehouse. You’re allowed to pet them, but remember to take extra good care of them. On some days you can also meet the goats together with our friendly animal keepers.

Not all animals like to be petted
Don't feed og teas the animals
Not all the animals at the Open-Air Museum are petting animals. Some of them roam freely in the museum’s fields and heathland, where they help maintain and care for the landscape by grazing. So please help us take very good care of them by not teasing or feeding them.

Changes may occur
Sometimes things go wrong with the schedule. So if you want to know where the animals are on a given day, please check the map at the entrance. Our zookeepers do their best to keep it updated every day.
